The Audi A6 e-tron is currently a concept vehicle but it's widely expected to make production in the near future. Audi has confirmed the next-generation A6 will be offered with both internal combustion, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric powertrain options.

The A6 e-tron, however, is the first vehicle to utilize the new PPE dedicated battery-electric architecture jointly developed with Porsche. PPE-based vehicles will be able to reach 62 mph from a standstill in less than four seconds and Audi claims a range of over 435 miles. The platform utilizes a 100-kWh battery located between the axles and can be recharged from five to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes. With only 10 minutes of charging, Audi claims the vehicle can achieve a 185-mile range.

The sleek sedan's two electric motors can be found at each axle and produce a combined 469 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive, adaptive dampers, and an air suspension are also included. Thanks to its 800-volt charging architecture, the A6 e-tron has fast charging up to 270 kW.

No images or details of the interior have been revealed just yet, but like any Audi, the A6 e-tron will have top-quality fit and finish and plenty of technology. A 2023 model year debut is a good estimate.
