Currently, it comes equipped with an all-new 3.8-liter V6 engine and a nine-speed automatic gearbox. All three trims in the lineup are rear-wheel-drive as standard with an all-wheel-drive system available. There are also various cab and bed length configurations available for all three.
• Titan: Under the hood of this full-size workhorse is a 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine paired with a refined nine-speed automatic transmission. The nameplate’s powertrain received some significant improvements for 2020, with the motor re-tuned to deliver class-leading outputs of 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. There are 14 possible configurations between the lineup’s five variants including 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain options and cab and bed length choices.
• Titan XD: Disappointingly, the supposedly “heavy-duty” version of the nameplate is also equipped with the same 5.6L V8 unit and automated nine-speed transmission. All five models are 4WD by default with only their prices and lists of features differing between each. It is more of a luxury type of Nissan truck than a capable ute and it offers a premium level of driving and in-cabin comfort.
