It's all very sensible.

Mitsubishi is the fun friend back in college who used to get the party started and introduce you to girls, but has now grown up and is more worried about his 401K than having a good time. Yes, the once exciting brand is now exclusively known for building sensible cars for sensible people and has recently announced some new features and a reasonable price for the 2023 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. The new 2022 Eclipse Cross was introduced early in 2021 and the new 2023 model promises to deliver an even more sensible automotive experience.

Mitsubishi had a great 2021 after seeing an impressive increase in sales in the North American market, and recently celebrated 40-years of business in the US, so it must be hoping that models such as the Eclipse Cross will continue this wave of success. The Eclipse Cross will enter the 2023 model year sporting Mitsubishi's Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system. That has been tried and tested in the hardcore arenas of the World Rally Championship, and the Dakar Rally.

The exterior of the 2023 model features a completely restyled rear hatch and window, and new 18-inch alloy wheels for LE, SE, and SEL trims. Under the hood, the 2023 Eclipse Cross gets a 1.5-liter direct-injection turbo engine with 152 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all fours via a continuously variable transmission.

Automatic high beam assist and rain-sensing window wipers are also standard on LE, SE and SEL trims, while the SE trim and above also gets standard Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The ES starts at $25,795 and is followed by the LE at $27,045, then the SE at $28,045, and finally the SEL at $29,295.
