Buy Used Jaguar Models

In its current sports car range, there are a pair of Jaguar convertible models on offer, with another slightly older roadster bringing up the rear. Bearing the same handsome styling that makes the British brand so recognizable, they use their cabriolet configurations to bring even more flair and excitement to the table. Jaguar convertibles are not cheap vehicles, though, with the top-end model bearing an exorbitant price tag to go with its good looks and powerful engine. The automaker has used its experience in the motor racing scene to develop some of the most capable cars with high-level specs that everyone can enjoy on the open road.

Jaguar convertible models

Each of the 2021 Jaguar convertible models is simply a cabrio variant of its standard F-Type sports coupe offering. These Jaguar convertible cars go up against the likes of Porsche and Chevrolet, showing that the Brits still know how to play ball and deliver dynamic driving experiences designed to thrill and excite.

  • F-Type: Riding on 18-inch wheels and powered by a turbocharged four-pot, the base-level F-Type is no slouch. However, for the best performance, the supercharged V6 with 375 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque is the way to go. This allows the soft-top to go from 0-60 mph in a brisk 5.4 seconds and cruise at speeds of up to 155 mph.
  • F-Type R: For top levels of performance, however, there is no substitute for the F-Type R. The lack of a manual transmission option is a bit disappointing, considering the growling supercharged V8 under the hood. Nevertheless, the most powerful of the Jaguar convertible models is a dream to drive, thanks to its refined steering and expert handling.
  • F-Type SVR: The SVR was discontinued in 2020, during Jaguar’s 60th anniversary. It used to be the only place you could find the 567-hp V8, but now the new R gets access to it, too. The SVR is still an attractive piece of machinery, but it is no longer among the list of modern convertible cars from Jaguar.

FAQs

How much is a Jaguar roadster?

The most affordable of the Jaguar convertibles is the base F-Type with the standard four-cylinder engine. Though calling it affordable is a bit misleading, since it will still set you back a hefty $65k, at least.

Does Jaguar make a 4-seat convertible?

Once upon a time, Jaguar made the XK and XKR, which were soft-tops with two doors and four seats. However, the automaker has since abandoned the idea of a family-friendly convertible and focused entirely on making cars that are all about the pleasure of driving.

Are Jaguar cars reliable?

Luxury cars are hard to judge for reliability since they do not sell in high volumes. Nevertheless, J.D. Power has awarded some of the vehicles from Jaguar with less than stellar ratings. The average cost of ownership, year on year, is also quite expensive and resale value is mediocre at best.
