The 2018 S60 Polestar is a performance sedan equipped with a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter inline four engine which produces 362 horsepower and 347 lb ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Straight-line performance levels are high and the upgraded suspension and chassis tweaks over the rest of the S60 range make for a deft handler. The Ohlins dampers and 20-inch wheels mean that the ride is harsher too, but it is in keeping with the nature of the sportiest model in the lineup. The interior is well made with decent quality materials, but it is rather dated and can be a bit cramped for larger occupants. Standard equipment levels are high though and include adaptive cruise control, rear parking assist, and keyless entry.

The S60 was completely redesigned for the 2019 model year so this 2018 S60 Polestar does not have quite the same level of cool Scandinavian design aesthetic as the newer models in Volvo’s range, but it is still a very capable sports sedan that is worth a look.
